Location: Anse, in the Rhône departement of France (Rhone-Alpes Region).
Built: 17th-19th century.
Condition: In good condition.
Ownership / Access: Winery. Private property.
Notes: The Château des Bassieux is located in hillside west of the town of of Anse in the Rhône department. In 1193 the Knight Marzé Guichard gets the Lyon Church of the stronghold of Bassieux. In 1760 the owner is Perrichon Châtillon and currently the Sain family acquired the domain and Jules Marie Joseph Antoine Sain is viticulteur.Le castle, built in the eighteenth century, was restored in the nineteenth century. It has the shape of a quadrilateral and includes a ground floor and one upstairs. The façade and the two round towers flanking the niches were once crowned. The area is private property. Not open to public.
