Notes: Château de Saint-Denis-en-Bugey is an ancient castle, the thirteenth century, the center of the lordship of Saint-Denis and the barony of Saint-Denis-le-Chosson, which stands in the municipality of Saint- Denis-en-Bugey in the department of Ain, in region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and of which he remains essentially the restored square tower. The tower is the subject of a classification as historical monuments by decree of May 26, 1899. There remains only the castle tower, which was destroyed by the troops of Biron, during the conquest of the Bresse and Bugey.
