Notes: Château de Noailleux is located south of the town of Cailloux-sur-Fontaines, in the city of Lyon. The castle includes a rectangular main building with a ground floor, two floors and is flanked to the south and courtyard, a square pavilion decorated with a round tower, and north and side garden, a pavilion rectangular. Common buildings extend the building to the north.
Château de Noailleux is a private property and can not be visited. During the Revolution, the castle belongs to the Fay family Sathonay. Count Nicolas-Marie Jean-Claude Fay Sathonay (1762 - 1812) is the mayor of Lyon. In 1822 Emma Fargues (1803 -?), Heiress of Sathonay Fay, married the Count Aymon de Virieu (1788-1841), a close friend of the poet Lamartine who will stay several times Noailleux. A plaque was inaugurated in 2006, commemorates the visits.
The estate passed to the family of Peyronnet in the first half of the twentieth century as a result of a marriage between Virieu and Eliane Franck Peyronnet. Franck Peyronnet (1895 - 1980) was general aviation.
