Location: Saint-Cyr-sur-le-Rhône, in the Rhône departement of France (Rhone-Alpes Region).
Built: 16th century.
Condition: In good condition.
Ownership / Access: Private property.
Notes: Château de Montlys (or Montlis) is located in Saint-Cyr-sur-le-Rhône, south of the Rhône department, the hillside on the right bank of the Rhone. It is surrounded by vineyards.The castle includes a main building flanked by two pavilions with which it forms a "U" and which it is connected by two stair towers of small diameter and high roof slate. The main buildings and pavilions are topped with a tile roof, gabled.
The main facade is oriented facing the river; it consists of a ground floor, a floor and an attic floor.
mullioned windows overlook a courtyard terrace. Each pavilion is extended outwards by a round tower and to the inside, with a watchtower. These towers are inclined roof.
Access to the property is through a driveway on the south side, or by a court bounded by common, northern side.
The castle is not open to public.
