Notes: Château de Lumagne (or Citadel) is located in the municipality of Saint-Genis-Laval in the Metropolis of Lyon.The construction consists of the seventeenth century, around a courtyard, square main building, a rectangular pavilion north west and pavilion "L" in the southwest, the first two buildings being topped with a tiled roof with four sides; the house consists of a ground floor, a floor and attic floor pierced oculus and different sized windows.
A tree-lined avenue, today included in a suburban residence, provided access to the property.
Inside, we find a lounge decorated with Nicolas School frescoes Poussin and emblazoned in which a monumental fireplace built in 1631 bears the inscription "NUNQUAM PATRIAE Servire PIGEBIT". Notable elements also include the staircase and mullioned windows.
The castle is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since October 11, 1943.
The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors.
