Notes: Château de l'Échelle is a former stronghold of the fourteenth century, which stands in the municipality of La Roche-sur-Foron, a French commune in the Haute-Savoie region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The Scale Castle is probably behind the possession of the counts of Geneva; in 1305, it is the property of Count Amadeus II of Geneva, and in 1330 it is in the hands of family Cohendier.
Happen to the family Benevix, who sells it to Louis Chissé of Pollinge, in 1679. His daughter, Jeanne-Aimée of Chissé of Pollinge, married to Marc-Antoine Saultier La Balme, the castle falls to their son, Charles Saultier La Balme. This family will retain until the early nineteenth century, or it yields to the Rogès family.
Jean-Georges Chissé of Pollinge acquired it in 1858. The Countess Potocka owns the twentieth century, and the castle on an upswing, before the owner successor, Mr. Diébolt the remains and sell everything which can be. lack of maintenance Castle deteriorates; the town acquired it and the surrounding land and conducts its restoration and converts it into cultural activity center.
