Notes: Château de Chavagneux is an ancient castle of the thirteenth century, the center of the Lordship of Chavagneux, which stands in the municipality of Genouilleux in the Ain department in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. A toll on the Saône depended. This toll, from the thirteenth century, was perceived in Belleville.
The castle is the subject of a partial registration under the Historic Monuments by order of December 17, 1942. Only the keep and the remains of the ancient fortress are enrolled.
