Notes: Logis de Frégeneuil is located on the town of Soyaux Charente. The stronghold of Frégeneuil known since the twelfth century, belonged to the cathedral chapter of Angouleme as the Doroma. The Geraud have long been the tenants and in 1529 the chapter ennobles Jean Geraud. The seventeenth century to the nineteenth century the estate was sold very often.
It was purchased by Charles Caesar Desmier, who died in this castle on 29 Germinal Year IX (19 April 1801), husband of Marguerite de Béarn Galard, Philippe-Paul Girl Galard of Béarn and Anne of Astelet (Hastelet ). All that remains of the older buildings as the ruins of the imposing round fled.
The house was rebuilt on the sixteenth century, the seventeenth century and the eighteenth century by reusing windows, doors and chimneys of the previous house. The long facade of breakthrough home nine large openings on the ground floor and upstairs is centered by a triangular pediment.
The outbuildings that surround the courtyard are dated 1773.
It is registered historical monument since 16 December 1996.
