Notes: Château du Plessis-de-Vair is located Vair-sur-Loire (common delegated Anetz) in Loire-Atlantique. Castle Vair rents its rooms for private functions.In the twelfth century, powerful fortress surrounded by a moat, it inspires novels legendary Knights of the Round Table and the Holy Grail.
In the fifteenth century castle replaces this feudal stronghold. It remains this time two round towers, dovecote and archives.
In the seventeenth century, the castle became the seat of the Marquis of Châteaufromont (Anetz, Saint-Herblon, The Rouxière); the Marquis de Vair, Claude Cornulier (1633-1700), Chairman of the Parliament of Brittany, advisor of Louis XIV built the two square towers, chapel, orangery and two pavilions of the entrance.
In the nineteenth century is built the central building and a row of light shows.
The monument was listed as a historic monument in 1980 and 2003.
