Notes: The castle of Launay is a castle located in Sucé-sur-Erdre, France.The land on which the castle of Launay was built in 1471 belongs to the Bishop of Nantes. Acquired by François de La Henriays in 1573, the site was sold to Olivier de Carheil in 1609. In 1793, during the Vendée War, Jean Pinard, a revolutionary, seized the castle, which served as a weapons depot for the Vendeans, and caused the building to burn. It was restored in 1803. The monument is listed under historical monuments in 1967.
