Notes: The Château de Craon is located in the town of Craon in the department of Mayenne. Built in limestone, white stone of Saumur Castle declines a curvilinear facade pediment and bays with Louis XVI garlands. The elevation courtyard offers a neoclassical style.
A century later the marquis of Champagné Alain (1874-1918) who inherits in 1890, calls for modernizing the three renowned specialists: the Parisian Alfred Coulomb (1838-1929) - rebuilder from 1903 to 1908 the central part of chateau des Ormes (Vienna) for the Count Gaston Marie Pierre Marc Voyer d'Argenson - his colleague and associate the Nantes André-Louis Chauvet and sculptor and bronze sculptor Jules-Edouard Visseaux art (1854-1934). Recently restored, the gardens consist of a French garden around the castle, and a large English park covering nearly 42 hectares, washed by the Oudon. Signage can recognize trees.
The gardens also have "factories", a vegetable garden with its talons in the nineteenth century, the Saint-Eutrope chapel, a laundry-utility room, a cooler built in the nineteenth century, where we stocked up on winter snow. Historical monument in 1971 and registered in 1990, the castle was converted into luxury guest rooms.
