Notes: Tour de Termes-d'Armagnac or Thibault Castle Termes is located in the town of Terms of Armagnac, in the French department of Gers. It is classified historic monument April 13, 1962.Tower Terms of Armagnac is the dungeon and the only remains of the castle of the lords of Termes d'Armagnac, vassals of the Counts of Armagnac.
The construction of the castle dates from the late thirteenth century and early fourteenth century. Strategically built on a hill overlooking the valley of the Adour and Arros Valley, it allows the family of Armagnac monitor the borders of Armagnac. Its most famous inhabitant was Armagnac Thibault, companion of Joan of Arc and Pierre Terrail, who testified on his behalf during his rehabilitation process.
Tower Terms of Armagnac also belonged to the family Boingnères including Andre Boingnères who donated the Tower to the town in the 1960s, that this historical heritage important to be open to all, a goal innovative for the time.
