Notes: Château de Venzac is located in Mur-de-Barrez in the Aveyron. It is partially included in the inventory of historical monuments since 30 May 1989 and has a remarkable garden. It should not be confused with the castle Veuzac near Villefranche-de-Rouergue.The facades and roofs of the castle, chapel and common, and the staircase and the stone fireplace in the lounge on the ground floor of the castle are the subject of a registration the inventory of monuments historic since May 30, 1989.He had to be a noble family of that name from the twelfth century, since one finds the troubadour Bernart Venzac. According to Baron Gaujal, a castle he calls Venzac had belonged to the house of Lévis and those that bore the name of Caylus: Pestels, Tubières, etc.
