Notes: Château de Castagnac is located in France in the town of Castagnac, in the Canton of Montesquieu-Volvestre in region Languedoc-Roussillon, Midi-Pyrénées 40 km south of Toulouse.It is an ancient castle mound turned towards the twelfth century stronghold.
The oldest document that mentions a Lord Castagnac Castagnac concerns Bernadus and date of 1162. The weapons found on the east side of the castle are "mouth of cross gold" and correspond to Lordat weapons, ancient chivalry family County of Foix.
Castle Castagnac is registered as historical monuments in whole with its water gap since March 18, 2003. He belongs to a family and therefore private.
