Notes: Château de Ville-sur-Saulx is a Renaissance castle in Ville-sur-Saulx, in Meuse; it was built in 1550. It is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since March 6, 1995.The original castle was built on a square base by Richier from 1550 by order of the local lord Gilles Trier. The field was expanded by the purchase of a paper mill and a mill that has a presence attested from the fourteenth century on the Saulx which covers the village of Lisle-en-Rigault.Acquired in 1892 by the Claudel family, an English garden is built there. Today the garden is classified as the cast iron bridge on the Saulx. It is here that Paul Claudel wrote one of his finest play: noon Sharing.
