In the nineteenth century it was reused barn.
The remains of the Castle of Dommartin-sur-Vraine are the subject of a registration as a historic monument since April 14, 2004. This protection concerns facades and roofs, including chimney and staircase central building, but except for the additions of the nineteenth century. The front southeast of the castle, including the portal and important remains of the house, is for the most part preserved. It is the same for the barn of the fifteenth century, and for the house back on the original sixteenth-century courtyard. If the northeast disappeared round the bases of the northwest tower are partly preserved at the turn of the great farm of the nineteenth century.
