Notes: Château de Sauvage is located in the town of Émancé in the southern department of Yvelines.Originally it was a castle made of three U-shaped buildings whose construction date is uncertain. This castle was given by Louis XIV in one of his natural daughters, Louise de Maisonblanche, born of an affair with Mrs. Carnation, lady companion of Madame de Montespan.At the location of said castle was rebuilt under the Second Empire, the current castle in grinding stones and bricks and a slate roof. In the park, a decorative pond was created from a diversion of the course of the Drouette.An English park of 40 hectares surrounding the castle.The site was listed in 1979.
