Notes: Château de la Madeleine is located along the Seine between the towns of Pressagny-l'Orgueilleux and Vernon in the Eure. The castle is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since June 6 2002.It is a baroque-style building built in 1129 by St. Adjutor in honor of Mary Magdalene. From 1824 it is the poet Casimir Delavigne. In 1849, the wealthy inventor Louis Jacques Thénard hydrogen peroxide, purchased the property. The site was classified in 1937.
