Notes: Château de Villersexel Villersexel located in the department of Haute-Saône, is a neo-Louis XIII chateau.This castle is designed in the Louis XIII style by architect Eugène Danjoy and built from 1882 to 1887. His furniture also dates from this time. It replaces a castle destroyed in 1871 during the Battle of Villersexel, which has long belonged to the family of Grammont.After registration by order of 23 February 1981, the castle is now the subject of three separate orders of protection: The house and stables, both in full, subject to a classification as historical monuments since 29 March 2005.The park of the castle and the ruins of the old castle are the subject of a registration as a historic monument since March 29, 2005.Finally, in line with the inscription 1981, facades and roofs of other buildings (the entrance building said the board, housing the doorman, the tower and the nearby sheds, the old dairy, the greenhouse, the orangery and the old armory are the subject of a registration as a historic monument since 19 December 2001.It is now a private residence that houses also a museum. In addition, the castle is a place of reception for weddings and private parties.
