Notes: Château de Syam or Palladian villa or castle is a Carnot Paladien villa of the nineteenth century, Syam, south of Champagnole, in the valley of the Ain (river) and Healthy in the High-Jura, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Old mansion of vast industrial area of Forges de Syam surrounding the villa and its vast forest park are classified as historical monuments since 19 May 1994. The industrial heritage of Forges de Syam is a listed building since 19 October 1994.The villa was built by architect Champonnois the eldest for Jean-Emmanuel Jobez (1775-1828, politician, notable influential liberal and cultured, freemason, ironmaster, wealthy heir boss forges Syam, and large amateur Italian culture).While the former mansion of Syam Forges architect Denis Philibert Lapret is built near the buildings of the vast steel industrial site (workshops, forges, rolling mill, hammer, grinder ...), this new house and stables are constructed at a distance, to the west, the middle of a vast landscaped forest park of the Jura, dominating height industrial site.
