Located in Richelieu (Indre-et-Loire), the castle was at the heart of a several hectare park located south of the current city; we are mainly accessed through an avenue to the north, from the walled town, and an avenue in West joined the current D 749 (Avenue schaafheim).
The castle site is the subject of a classification as historical monuments since September 1930.
