Le château fait l'objet d'un classement au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 27 décembre 1966.The castle of Reverseaux seems to have been built between 1715 and 1730. It was in 1807 that Marshal Gouvion Saint-Cyr bought the castle, he retired there in 1819 and stayed there until his death in 1830. Except for exceptions, the property can not be visited. The castle still belongs to the Gouvion-Saint-Cyr family.
