Located in the heart of the city of Blois, on the right bank of the Loire, the Royal Castle of Blois gathers around the same court a panorama of French architecture from the Middle Ages to the Classical period making it a key building for understanding the evolution of architecture over the centuries. The royal restored apartments are furnished and decorated with polychrome decoration of the nineteenth century, created by Félix Duban in line with contemporary restorers of Viollet-le-Duc.
