Notes: Château de Montmarin was built in 1760 by Aaron Magon. It is located in the municipality of Pleurtuit in Ille-et-Vilaine, near Saint-Malo.
However, the Montmarin is not a malouinière; its architecture, with its body of very high relative to home court roof side and roofs garden overturned hull side, not related to the search of local architecture is the transposition in the countryside of Saint-Malo Intra hotels -Muros, characterized by an austere façade, tall chimneys shoulder, a high roof, steep and rump.
The castle dominates the Rance estuary.
Its French gardens of the eighteenth century and part romantic, dating from 1885 (conducted for the family Bazin de Jessey), down to the estuary by four successive terraces plans.
The castle is the subject of a classification as historical monuments since July 1966 and the castle park been ranked since May 1995.
Its gardens are classified "remarkable Garden".
