Notes: Château de Kergrist is located in the town of Ploubezre, in the Côtes d'Armor department. Until the Revolution, the gardens were relatively crude, descending compounds flowering meadows to Léguer. Under the Second Empire, the garden of 4 hectares are completely reorganized under the leadership of Charles and Claire Huon Penanster, new owners of the estate. This passion for landscape art recompose all gardens echo the different facades. North, beds agree sober Renaissance façade (XV-XVI). To the east, the French garden, inspired by a map of André Le Nôtre, is displayed on a terrace with a balustrade granite to meet the seventeenth facade. Finally, to the south, an English garden invites before a facade of "Louis XIV style" designed in the eighteenth century.
Many old trees, some dating back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, have fallen prey to winds up to 180 km / h. Drained and then uprooted, they pamper during the 1987 storm.
In the twentieth century, the current owner of Regis Huon Penanster realizes the Jardin des Roches in a desert spirit, using the natural effect of granite blocks from a vein once buried.
The castle has 4-hectare park, and a large part of the forest and surrounding land.
