Location: Savianges, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: 13th century.
Condition: Redesigned in 16th and 19th centuries.
Ownership / Access: It is privately owned and not open to visitors.
Notes: Savianges Castle is located in the municipality of Savianges in Saône-et-Loire, on a hill overlooking the valley of the Guye.Preceded by a lower court, partly transformed into a terrace, but the south side and part of the west side are occupied by common right angle, the castle consists of a complex of buildings surrounding three sides of a small rectangular courtyard . This court was once separated from the lower courtyard by a wall with a door flanked by a square tower, still in place. A circular stair tower serves the galleries on gantry arcades of the same type as those of winegrowers' houses in the region, which are based on the facades of three main buildings. A circular tower flanks the outer wall is, the route takes one round, ditched from the original root ball.
