Notes: Château de Lally is located in the town of Saint-Léger-du-Bois in Saône-et-Loire, in the valley, along the stream Lacanche. The oldest part seems to be a large tower oblong, paired stone. In the north, the wholesale unit wall, which continues on both sides of the tower, formed the polygonal surrounding wall of the castle. Towards the east, a modern building for agricultural use supports it. Towards the west, a main building reverted square: battlements of crows remain outside angle. In the courtyard, a head embedded in the masonry and several fragments of sculptures are still visible. The ancient form ditches reach to the north where there was a small abandoned mill. A common building dates from the seventeenth century. The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors. It is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since February 6, 1980.
