Castle Facts:
Location: Burnand, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: 15th century.
Condition: Restored in 1865.
Ownership / Access: Private property. Not open to public.
Notes: Château de Burnand is located in the municipality of Burnand Saône-et-Loire, slope side.Built on a rectangular terrace, the castle, around 1835, consisted of two square buildings flanked by round towers of different heights. In the corner of the L stood a stair turret; north ran a crowned wall of a covered walkway disappeared today. In 1865, a square tower and turrets overlooking were added.
The castle is now private property, it is not open to the public to visit but became a guest room with several rooms.
Recently, Jean-Denis Salvèque observed, in a courtyard, a skylight Cluny (dismounted) used in replacement.
