Notes: The Château de Beaulieu is located in the town of Varennes-lès-Mâcon in Saône-et-Loire, along the Grosne. The Château de Beaulieu has all the characteristics of the French castles of the seventeenth century. The rectangular main body is covered with a high hipped roof pierced with dormers and gables fins. It is flanked at its ends with two flanges slightly higher slightly advanced on each of its walls. They include a packed addition to lit by dangling spider stone dormers crowned with pediments and curved roofs are topped with hipped whose summit is at the same level as the central body. The two main facades are punctuated by large mullioned windows and cross.
