Notes: Château d'Auxonne is a castle of the fifteenth century in Auxonne in Burgundy. Curtain walls, towers and the gatehouse are registered as historical monuments since July 5 1961 and Notre Dame tower houses since 1970 a "Bonaparte museum." From the eighteenth century Auxonne Auxonne was the capital of the county of the duchy of Burgundy (Auxonne story).
In 1412 the first castle of Auxonne (called "the root ball of the old currency") was destroyed to give way to the convent and the site of the current hospital.
