Notes: Château de Pontécoulant is located east of virois grove at Pontécoulant near Condé-sur-Noireau, near the Normandy Switzerland, Basse-Normandie. The domain Pontécoulant brings the hallmarks of the nobility castle, flags of the gamekeeper and gardener, dovecote, landscaped park, farm, woods and lands.
The family Doulcet Pontécoulant it is established in the fourteenth century and it is off in 1896, leaving the castle of Calvados, which aménagea museum in 1908. It is the subject of an entry in as historical monuments since March 26, 1927. The park and the castle gardens are a listed site registered in pre-inventory of remarkable gardens. This site consists west and south garden with its pond and waterfall, a vegetable garden and park are built a cooler and a monument.
To the east, the main facade of the castle overlooks a central aisle dividing a large lawn. The two input angles thereof are represented by two symmetrical pavilions.
The set is located Druance Valley, upstream of a dam forming a short reservoir dam whose dérasement is under consideration.
