Notes: The Château Margaux is a renowned wine estate of 262 hectares in the Médoc AOC Margaux located in the commune of Margaux. He produced one of Bordeaux's most prestigious, which carries the same name. The Château Margaux is a "premier grand cru classé" according to the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855. It shares this rare distinction with Château Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Latour, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild and Chateau Haut Brion. Ernest Hemingway loved so much Château Margaux wine, he prénomma in tribute one of his granddaughters Margaux Hemingway, not Margot. Margaux gives its name to a novel by Japanese author Ryū Murakami in which he describes the moods of the protagonist who think of this wine.
