Notes: Château-Figeac is a red wine, in appellation saint-émilion grand cru, produced by the Château de Figeac, a vineyard located in the town of Saint-Émilion, Gironde. Its wine is recognized as "first grand cru classified B" without interruption since 1955, date of the first classification of the wines of Saint-Émilion.The earliest traces of its history date back to the Gallo-Roman period, in the second century, with remains of stone pipes. The name of the estate would come from that of the family "Figeacus" who owned a villa on the site of the current castle. Henri Enjalbert made the link of this name with that of the commune of Figeac, in the department of Lot.
