The facade and roof of the main building and outbuildings, stone fireplaces and staircase inside the main building and the entrance gate are registered as historic monuments by order of 28 December 1984. Jean Bouglon, the king's attorney and governor of Eauze, marries in 1728 Marie Maurisset, daughter of a citizen of Labastide. Their son erected the land of Prada lordship and built the castle around 1764 by Victor Louis, who is the architect of the Grand Theatre de Bordeaux, asking a castle "beautiful and practical" 3.
The castle was later the birthplace of a line of soldiers, including Odette Bouglon, serving on the front line during the First World War as an ambulance driver, and Jean de Bouglon, died on the Maginot line 1940.
