Notes: The Chateau des Bories is a French château located in the town of Antonne-et-Trigonant in the Dordogne, in the Aquitaine region.
It is the subject of a classification as historical monuments.Chateau des Bories is located in the center of Dordogne, bordering the National Highway 21, less than one kilometer north-east of the town of Antonne, and a few dozen meters from the Isle.
The castle, formerly surrounded by a moat fed by the Isle, comes in the form of a house is oriented southwest, flanked by a square tower to the south and two round towers at the northeast and northwest corners. It is a private property open to the visit in July-August.
It is a historical monument since 29 March 1974. Construction of the castle started in 1494 to Jeanne de Hautefort, widow of Jean de Saint-Astier, on the remains of an old haunt.
The castle was besieged several times during the religious wars and during the Fronde.
