Constructed of earth and wood in 1225 to 12,303 years, it is the cradle of the lords of Albret, noble Gascon family, from there, expand its influence over the centuries until the accession to the throne France to one of his own, King Henry IV. The site is classified by historical monuments December 27, 1990
