Notes: The Château de la Roche is a French castle located in the commune of Annesse-et-Beaulieu in the Dordogne, in the Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes region.On the site of an old noble dwelling already mentioned in the sixteenth century, Count Luboff of Koucheleff-Bedbiroko built the present castle in the nineteenth century in a neoclassical style.
During the Second World War, the castle hosted a hospice of Jewish old refugees. From 1943 to 1975, it served as a vaccine manufacturing center for the Institut Pasteur, first against typhus and then against influenza from 1950 onwards.
